MrFix helps you find a local builder not only to repair or improve your home: he can also prevent costly repairs by detecting and correcting hidden problems in time. We call it the MrFix Home Check: not an official structural survey but a quick check of your home regarding state of repair, maintenance, energy efficiency and safety.
Many people apply for a Home Check just before or after a move, but we advise you to do it periodically, say every 5 years. And if you are considering a significant refurbishment, the Home Check is the best way to get a first idea of costs, required experts and necessary permits.
The rate for a Home Check is € per hour including call-out charge and VAT. Together with you the expert will go through the relevant checklist and at the end will leave it to you. You decide whether you want to have any improvements carried out by our builder. If the expert has to work 4 hours or more after the Home Check, he will even offer the Home Check free .

“Ik zoek een vakman in Amsterdam met expertise op het gebied van zowel elektrische als sanitaire installaties om een Onderhouds-APK te doen. Ik zou graag willen weten:
a) Hoe oud mijn installaties zijn en wanneer ik mag verwachten dat ze verouderd zijn
b) Eventuele aanpassingen die volgens de huidige Nederlandse norm moeten worden doorgevoerd
c) Snel in kaart brengen waar alle leidingen en bekabeling (inclusief afvoeren, gasleidingen en schoorstenen) in de wanden, het plafond en de vloeren zijn gelegd, en als er ruimte/leidingen zijn om deze toe te voegen, dan nieuwe bekabeling aan te leggen zonder de wanden/plafond open te maken.
Ik heb het appartement net gekocht en wil in de toekomst een renovatie plannen.

a) How old my installations are and when I should expect them to be obsolete
b) Any changes that need to be accommodated according to the current Dutch norm
c) Identify quickly where all piping and cabling (including drains, gas pipes and chimneys) are laid in the walls, ceiling and floors, and if there is room/ducts to add them then lay new cabling without opening the walls/ceiling.
