Connecting lights - Rate
MrFix rates are fair and transparent. For electricians we charge a fixed rate of €80 per hour including VAT and call-out charge.
Often it is easy to connect an electrical device, whether it is a domestic appliance, tv or lamp. You just put the plug into the socket and it works. But sometimes it is more complicated. For installing and connecting lights you need to have a power socket or power point available at the right place and you need to take care of hiding cables in a nice way. That often requires the advice and help of a professional electrician. Because of lower power consumption when installing lights it normally is not needed to check the capacity of the power group unit concerned. This is different from installing washing machines, dishwashers and electrical water boilers. Then you always need to check whether the group unit has sufficient power for your product. And in case of an electrical stove it normally needs a separate group unit. In those cases we always recommend hiring an electrician.

For connecting lights requiring new power sockets and/or new cabling we recommend to make use of an expert electrician.

How to request an electrician:
- Select the “JOB TYPE” and summarise the job under “JOB SUMMARY”
- You can add 1 or 2 photos from your PC, tablet or smartphone. This is not required but can be helpful!
- Make your “DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF JOB” as detailed as possible: please specify type of device and power consumption (number of Watts). And for installation: measures, space available, obstructions or other limitations.
- Choose if you prefer “An expert ASAP” or “First a quote”. If you choose “First a quote” then we will provide the expert’s estimate except if the job is bigger than ~€500 / 1 day of work. In the latter case we quote his fixed price, usually after a (paid) inspection visit.

For urgent jobs you can contact MrFix. We will connect you to the right electrician for your electrical job within 3 hours, and often faster than that. For jobs that must start within 24 hours, after 18h or on weekends we charge a surcharge of 50%.
