Tip by the expert
After painting, wrap the brushes and rollers in a plastic bag for reuse. Make the bag air-free by means of tape: the rollers / brushes will be usable for another 2-3 days.

Paint interior woodwork - Rate
All MrFix rates are fair and transparent. MrFix has negotiated fixed rates with our partner painters: €50 per hour including VAT (9% only) and call-out charge for jobs that take less than a day. The rate for paperhangers and plasterers is €60 per hour. For jobs that take more than one day we recommend that you request a quote (fixed price), not only for maximum certainty but also because most painters offer a discount (often 10-20%) for bigger jobs.
If you give sufficient information (e.g. via the WhatsApp group that MrFix creates for you) you may get an estimate or even a quote without the usual inspection visit: that would save you time and money. Now you may not need a painter again for several years.
Low VAT rate on interior woodwork painting

Do-it-yourself tip from MrFix
Are you planning to paint the woodwork in your home? Then at the start check the wood for any wood rot. If this is the case, remove the rot thoroughly, no moist, porous wood should be left behind. Then carefully sand the wood. Any holes or damage left behind can be filled with a type of filler that is specially suited to wood.
