Pruning - Rate
All MrFix rates are fair and transparent. MrFix gardeners charge a fixed rate of €65 per man hour including VAT and call-out charge.
Nowadays pruning & weeding are not that easy due to severe restrictions on availability and usage of herbicides. Our gardener knows better than anybody else what today will be the most efficient way of dealing with weeds. Pruning is a specialist job. You have to know when it is the best time of the year for pruning. But you also need a lot of experience for knowing what will happen after the pruning. What will be the shape of the tree after a few years? And pruning tall trees if a job that the expert has to know how to do in a safe way in particular; not only safe for the pruner but also safe for plants, fences, sheds, houses and – don’t forget – plants of neighbours.
For jobs that take more than one day of work / ~€500 we recommend that you request a quote (fixed price) for maximum certainty in advance. In addition, most gardeners offer a discount (often 10–20%) on large pruning jobs.

How to request a pruning job:
- Select the “JOB TYPE” and summarise the job under “JOB SUMMARY”
- You can add 1 or 2 photos of the garden from your PC, tablet or smartphone. This is not required but can be helpful!
- Make your “DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF JOB” as precise as possible: please specify colours, measures, obstructions or other limitations.
- Choose if you prefer “An expert ASAP” or “First a quote”. If you choose “First a quote” then we will provide the expert’s estimate except if the job is bigger than ~€500 / 1 day of work. In the latter case we quote his fixed price, usually after a (paid) inspection visit.

Urgent pruning jobs – Surcharge
On page 2 of the request form you can indicate how urgent your job is by clicking the dates that are too far in the future, so they turn red. You can leave today, tomorrow and the day after green, for instance: we will connect you to the right gardener for your urgent pruning job within 1 hour, and often faster than that. Please note: there is a 50% surcharge for jobs that are even more urgent and must start within 24 hours or that must start after 18h, on weekends or on holidays.
